Love and Bullets depicts the downward trajectory of domestic violence.  I created it and the written accompaniment to bring attention to the issue and to also encourage victims to get help before it is too late.  The image depicts tokens of atonement given by the abuser to the victim.  These gifts start out as things like chocolates but, as the violence escalates, end in bullets:

As I accept, I signal my aggressor

And I remain
