This work is an exploration of color. By pouring pigmented wax I worked from abstraction to represent the intensity of flowers.
This work, exhibited at the Fredericksburg Center for the Creative Arts in a 2018 nationally juried exhibit was awarded first place.
Jane Forth’s encaustic paintings represent an imaginative vision of the natural world. Using techniques of brushing, pouring and carving molten, pigmented beeswax, vision and material blend to lustrous painted surfaces.
