Join us for an inspiring evening! DC-based artists who received a 2025 Wherewithal Research Grant will share where their inquiries have been taking them over the year-long grant period. This year’s Research grantees are: Sobia Ahmad, Rhea Beckett, Nakeya Brown, Adele Yiseol Kenworthy, Tsedaye Makonnen, and Dominick Rabrun.

This amazing group of DC-based artists are exploring wide ranging questions and conducting important cultural preservation work exploring fascinating topics such as: a Sufi parable about moths to a flame, soundscapes, material archives for Black femmes, counter-memories of DC’s AAPI community, and Haitian Vodou storytelling.
